Optimization of inventory management


In spring 2016,  the team assisted a major Financial and Banking Institution in Montreal in optimizing its Inventory Management Process as well as non-production computer elements (development).

We organized the project in four main phases :

  1. Planning 
  2. Analysis and enhancement of Management Processes 
  3. Analysis and recommendation for the optimization of software tools 
  4. Analysis and enhancement of inventory data including stakeholder survey activities

The total effort of the project represented nearly 800 hours spread over 3 advisors in our team. We coordinated our team according to our Project Management Techniques. The project was successfully completed over a period of nearly 4 months.

Our main deliverables were : 

  • Enhanced process and procedure
  • Specifications and recommendations document for Inventory Management Tools
  • Inventory data upgraded delivered with a procedure allowing the organization to replicate the exercise
  • Project monitoring documents
