Design and deployment of IT asset management for a centralized infrastructure operations division

In 2013, SYNAIRGIS Advisors worked on a Project team of a major Banking Institution to roll out the IT Asset Management process and the HP Asset Manager software version 9.30 within the Infrastructure Management Main Directorate.

We used our technique called "Drawing Tables" to understand and align the activities of several key management processes.

This project allowed the optimization of asset management of physical servers, virtual, monofunctional, licenses, contracts and software installations.

Activities carried out in the mandate : 


  • The analysis of the existing (process / tools) and validation of the compatibility of the activities with the target Solution
  • Defining the scope of IT assets to migrate to the new HP Asset Manager solution (physical, virtual, contract, license, etc.) including recurring cost management
  • The detailed documentation (use of our "drawing board" technique) of the processes / tools related to the management of IT assets
  • The organization of the Solution to centralize the inventory of server equipment
  • Managed assets are created in HP Aset Manager and then replicated to the rest of the Configuration Management System for editing;
  • Implementation of the basic functionality for Software License Management, including compliance aspects (meter integration to reconcile facilities and corresponding license fees)
  • The organization of the Solution to manage the automatic collection of discovery data of installed software
  • The organization of the Solution for Contract Management (license, maintenance, support) including the management of recurrent costs.
